Sigh.. i miss you bad. and it's worse cos i don't have anything to do.earlier this evening i was commenting that this hols feels very fast. and it's not cos it's really short, rather it's cos i didn't do anything significant. last year's hols felt longer cos i went to timor leste and that took up about three quarters of the hols. also, this is the first christmas in 2 years that i'm spending in singapore, so it feels a little weird. i'm not sure what i'm supposed to do.
anyway this is a little late but i figured i should note it down in case i read back on this. batam trip was ok. a little bit of a let down but well i couldn't have done much anyway. the ferry left tanah merah ferry terminal at 10am on the 18th dec. upon reaching batam transport was provided by the resort, turi beach resort. the resort, however, was, um, kinda below my expectations. and we couldn't do much cos it was monsoon season too. anyway the first day, me and my brother went on the jet ski. it's really nothing new to the both of us as we've each had a chance driving one before. my brother had the control first. things went pretty well, though i have to say, he's not a very good driver. hahaha.. after about 15 mins i took over controls. unlike the previous time i rode a jet scooter, the waves this time were really rough. which make riding the jet scooter more "exciting" i might say. well anyway, after taking controls for about 5 mins, i was more used to it and started getting more, um, daring or reckless, however u look at it. so i started doing high speeds and sharp turns. it was during a sharp turn which i took at a relatively high speed when my brother, unable to hang on, got thrown into the sea. hehe.. *giggle, giggle* i'm good.. *grins*
ok that was basically the highlight of my trip. hehe. like i said, the trip was pretty boring. the second day was spent at batam centre mega mall. there i met yixin by coincidence. kinda surprised. could have eaten dinner at some seafood restaurant but we didn't know about it. well now i know, i'll keep it in mind.
the third day was spent slacking. we got back on the 4pm ferry. and that pretty much concludes my short holiday. ain't it cool?
