Friday, April 23, 2004 TGIF. today another 2 doctors treated the clerks to lunch again. hehe, and i got free lunch again... whoever came up with secretary week, great idea man... so today i had a KFC meal for free... thank you docs...anyway my colleague won some contest on class 95, so she had breakfast at pan pacific with glenn and rod this morning.. actually, she wasn't even the one who entered the contest. another colleague "sabo-ed" her for a secretary week contest and she actually won... this reminds me of my attempt last year to take part in one of these radio contests: it was some time before the A levels, and i was at home doing maths questions, so the radio was on, tuned to perfect 10. the programme was jive-drive with vernon A and they were having some contest in where the winner will get a chance to fly to phillipines to catch mandy moore perform. there i was bored of doing maths, so i decided to call in. and i actually got thru... V.A: "perfect 10. first, how old are you?" me: "um, 17... plus." V.A: "i'm sorry this contest is only opened to those 18 and above because you'll have to travel and we have to prepare travel documents... (blah, blah, blah...)" okay, the conversation when something like that. i can't do a word-for-word re-enactment. well i didn't really care that i didn't win cos i didn't even know the answer to the question he asked. moreover, the trip would be right before A levels start. after that conversation, i was actually more excited by the fact that i got thru... those were the days... okay, back to the present... the following are quotes from doctors in my department. come, have a taste of doctor's humour: PTB: "the hobbit got voted out of American Idol last week." (refering to JPL who got was voted out last week) = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = KCT: "I'm the general in my family. I make general decisions for the family. My wife is the major in my family. She makes the major decisions." |
